In Germany, you will need the following documents in order to take care of all of the official formalities. Please take note that you should bring certified/notarized copies of your documents, and when possible with German or English translations thereof, with you when you travel to Germany.
- valid passports or personal identity cards for yourself and for the members of your family travelling with you
- visa (if required)
- certified/notarized copies of certificates of achievement
- school diploma
- university degree(s)
- doctoral certificate
- birth certificate
- birth certificates of the members of your family travelling with you
- marriage certificate (if applicable)
- vaccination card, declaration stipulating necessary medications
- disabled person identity card (if applicable)
- international driver’s license
- a number of passport-sized pictures for various documents
- a signed chronological curriculum vitae
